Veritas Classical Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school governed by a board of directors and created through a charter agreement between the school’s board and the Office of Educational Opportunity out of UW-Madison. We are funded by Wisconsin's Department of Public Instruction.
In exchange for increased accountability, Veritas Classical Academy’s board is granted the flexibility to operate with greater autonomy.
Charter schools frequently utilize this autonomy to innovate and differentiate in areas such as educational philosophy, academic programming, hiring practices, and school policies, including instructional time and technology usage.
Regular meetings of the board typically occur at 6pm on the first Thursday of each month. The meetings
are held on Campus at 913 1st Ave, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
Members of the Community are welcome to join!
The school’s policy is to manage communications including grievances using the chain of command which typically involves - in order - the teacher, or program leader, then the Head of School, and finally, if necessary, the governing board via the Board Chair. Except in emergencies, email is the preferred mode of initial communication. The school welcomes and encourages pre-scheduled, in-person meetings to facilitate open dialogue.
