Curriculum that Teaches Students How To Think

Composition: Advanced grammatical concepts, outlining, narrative and descriptive writing, citing sources, and introduction to formal essay writing

Math: Advanced arithmetic, statistics, pre-algebra, and geometry
History: Ancient civilizations, Early Modern Europe, Latin America
Science: Physical science, astronomy, oceanography, energy
Literature: Homer’s epics, The Prince and the Pauper, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Count of Monte Cristo

Sixth Grade

The foundation years focus on building strong reading, writing, and math skills through engaging, hands-on activities.

Reading: Phonics-based instruction builds confident readers

Science: Hands-on exploration of the natural world
Literature: Classic stories, nursery rhymes, and fairy tales


Kindergarten & First Grade

Students deepen their skills and begin exploring the wider world through history and science.

Reading: Moving from learning to read to reading to learn
Math: Multi-digit operations, fractions, and problem-solving
History: Ancient civilizations—Egypt, Greece, Rome
Science: Life cycles, ecosystems, and the human body
Literature: Classic novels like Charlotte’s Web and The Chronicles of Narnia

Second and Third Grade

Students develop analytical thinking and begin engaging with more complex texts and ideas.

Reading: Literary analysis and critical reading skills
Math: Decimals, geometry, and pre-algebra concepts
History: Medieval world, American founding, and the U.S. Constitution
Science: Physical science, astronomy, and earth systems
Literature: Mythology, poetry, and novels like Where the Red Fern Grows
